In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #205: Cracks

Author: Dancing Echoes

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. 2. Yes…. there’s hidden and old stories in cracks……..
    A Crack In The Wall

    Placing yesteryear’s photos,
    In that bygone album.
    Cutting window holes,
    In today’s front door.
    Pasting forgotten memories,
    In the Bible, so forlorn.
    Packing tomorrows cases,
    Full of dusty dreams.
    Clutching torn curtains,
    Darkened to the outside worlds.
    Passing a crumbling brick wall,
    Weakened by the original fall.

  3. Thank you Chris, it’s one my oldest pieces, and your lovely poem, prompted me to dig it up. Ha, and I’m surprised, it still reads well… 💙🌏

  4. Love the irony in the image.  Tourists will pay to see distant beauty thru the binocs while missing the mundane marvel nearby.
