I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog.

Very perceptive…with mixed feelings…positive yes..for change almost always…a haiku that really makes me think, more than many do.

I just came from a rocky beach, with crushed-shell inlet and prehistoric lava rock outcroppings.
There is much emptiness to be seen and felt on coastlines, I think. Sometimes sad, sometimes soothing, occasionally symbiotic.
“Reminders of life that was” – I like that. Sometimes, like crabs, we outgrow our shells. 🙂
Your words are a lovely reminder of that fact.

Thank you Mrs Fever, that was my feeling too. The shedding of shells. The beaches here are not rocky and I miss that as it was a part of my childhood. Whatever the mood, the coastline and connection to water always makes me feel.
