Why walk when you can ride?
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #204: Walking
Once upon a time
We came across a waterfall
Hidden deep in the woods
Where we splashed and played
Like giddy children
In the argent liquid pools
And let the cool mist
Spray diamonds in our hair
Our warm embrace
A safe haven
As if the whole world
Was just this place
At just this time
Our own private island
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #196: Islands and @fromthelighthouse prompt: Once Upon a Time
He sat there frozen
A painful reminder
Of days gone by
When mankind
Was allowed to read
And relax, and dream
A time before the ban
That constant reminder
Of the punishment
For being caught reading
Was to be turned to stone
