Dancing Echoes

Beats Stumbling Around in Silence

Hope

Your loneliness was palpable
Bitter regret on my tongue
From all the lessons learned but forgotten
All the forever’s that never happened
I know I was not the salve you wanted
A poor substitute for the lost soul of your dreams
Instead of releasing you, I made it about me
And it was never about me
Yet to forgive myself has been the hardest lesson of all
The beauty in forgiveness is my hope for the future
So I am sorry

I release you

I release myself

Locked

Inside looking out
Many phases of the moon
Her last loving hug

Locked in with her memories
Grandma sheds a single tear

Time is most priceless possession to the elderly. So to treat them as if their time is “less than” or to prolong taking precious time away from loved ones is intolerably cruel. Instead of the elderly ”taking one for the team” let’s work together so that families can reunite and be whole again.

Wear a mask, socially distance, wash your hands. Let’s beat this thing before it is too late for your loved ones.

Loss

For certain memories
time stands still
and for a moment
the pain is searingly fresh
The loss makes you realize
what matters most
An aching reminder
of what it means
to truly love

Transitions

Life’s transitions
Freedom from this mortal world
Tears role down my face

Truth is Black and White

img_2643

I can’t breath

The presence of mind
To set the world on fire
Nothing left to lose

White
House afire
Hot with hate
Washed in vainglorious jactitation
Privilege
