Seeds of love scattered Blown by winds of emotion Clouds of teargas
All we have Is a few short minutes To be sons and daughters Fathers and mothers Friends and lovers There is no color No race No nation Only humanity Let us help each other To live our best lives In peace and compassion
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #235: Rant!
You wrote in your comment on the challenge page that this post isn’t much of a rant for you… I can’t say I’m exactly sure what you meant by that, but it inspired some thoughts.
Sometimes, a rant comes in the form of a quiet rage, an at-the-end-of-my-rope I-can’t-believe-I-have-to-say-this-but… It comes as an expression of exasperated frustration. Not sure, but that emotional state seems to lay just beneath your words here.
Rodney King’s rant was brief and rifled with despair: People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along?
That was nearly 30 years ago. And here we are. There have been so many more in between. How many more will it take, before people no longer feel compelled to so elegantly write or state a plea for what should be our everyday state of being?
