Where there was once a parking lot
An environmental education building
Now stands surrounded by a mass of water
As an ironic reminder
That everything is connected
and both actions and non-actions have consequences
Denial doesn’t change facts
Drowning in ignorance and greed
Climate change
Sea level rising
The naturalist shack
Returns to nature
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenges #221: Mass and #222: Connections
I’m glad you kept the brush on the right edge, it really forces the composition better … cover it up and you can see. Spectacular image and words to go with it.
I was randomly surfing your archives and I came across a piece you did in 2017(?) about a crow which was killed in a window strike. Forgive me, I cannot immediately locate it again. But I’m writing to invite you to have a look at news from today (Mar 6). If you have Facebook access, look at Teton Raptor Center. Just today they released a bird and a story I think you will enjoy.
I am loving your work. Thank you.

Amazing image… I like the saturation, vibrance and clarity. Such a vivid photograph as well as the words that accompany it.
Powerful!

The circumstances here are most appropriate, yet most likely to be ignored as a reminder by those who need one.

Thank you Ali. I was a bit shocked to find part of Assateague Island, a place I grew up near, being swallowed by the sea.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. It is so true in this case. Thank you for sharing this.
