When I miss you most
I go into your closet
Take a long deep breath
Close my eyes and feel you near
Grateful for good memories

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. Oh this is so personal and yet I bet I am not the only one who reads your words with recognition. For closets opened with gratitude and remembrance. Thank you.

ThNk you JoHanna. I suspected I was not the only one to do this. The sense of smell is a powerful memory inducer.

❤ A perfectly illuminated moment somewhere between grief and longing and presence. I am so often in awe of your ability to render such an intimate experience with the briefest of texts, illustrated so poignantly with a photograph.
