Kaleidoscopic clouds
Change from umbra to blue
My internal storm
For far too long I used the inability to be what I was in my youth as an excuse to not be the best I could be now. I’m not planning on getting back into dance or body building but this extra flab gotta go. I want to feel better in body and spirit so I had a funeral for my youth and am looking forward to the next phase ‘cause I got shit to do.
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #146: Clouds
I’m on a similar journey. Learning to let go of what I use to be, accepting my aging self and seeing the possibilities in the now. Love those dramatic clouds.
Thank you Olga! I always look forward to your comments too. Glad to know there is a sisterhood out there. Nobody ever tells you what it is going to be like.
So true! It’s like a blind journey into the unknown where one has to find one’s way. I’ve had a funeral for my youth also. It seems like yesterday that I was an avid cyclist and hiker and due to multiple knee injuries through the years, I’m grateful that I can still walk. I came across this quote awhile ago, “The most creative act you will ever undertake is the act of creating oneself. ” Age forces one to re-create oneself. Cheers to aging well. 🙂
On a similar path myself — it would seem, as are so many others — though first, there are some things about my youth I’ll have to remember in order to let the effects of them go.

<smile> “funeral for my youth”
Wise choice, padawan. =)

In the meantime, I send ❤ ❤ ❤ in lieu of flowers.
