A crackle in the stillness
Of a hot humid night
That spark of beauty
Illuminating the darkness
A billion grains of sand
Against a billion stars
Spellbinding in its power
Both creator and executioner
A not so quiet reminder
That the universe is bigger
Than even sentient beings can grasp
And any sense of control
Is but an illusion
In response to Patrick Jennings Pic and a Word Challenge #143: Big
Thank you Beth! I was lucky to catch that lightning strike last Saturday and it took me all week to come up with the words. I really struggled. Nature is so awesome.

Big is right. A lot more words and lines than your usual poems. 😉
Exquisite shot, accompanied beautifully by the words. ❤ Oh my goodness, there's so much going on in both!
Oh, oops! You missed the link back to the challenge. 😉
