He swept in on a twilight wave
This warrior of suffering
Fighting the dark for the light
A slow steady Seppuku
The result of years past
Wit and wile his Daishō
To excise the black shame
Of being Masterless
His ink a testament to battle
Against the establishment
His ink a roadmap
To his gentle soul
That golden treasure
Rarely revealed
But to a few rare birds

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog.

For starters, that’s a helluva capture! Just splendid.
And then the poem… equally splendid, and such a departure from your haiku in meter and story telling. I love the narrative, and the hero you create with it.
