I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. Had to come back. I love the tones in this photograph. Rich, saturated, textured. Lovely.

Thank YOU for a splendid image/haiku combination that was also the tipping point for getting past my reluctance to stretch the word [wisdom] so much. I wrote my haiku (with their titles) in late 2017 but delayed posting them because I am conservative about stretching words. Should I resist the alliteration temptation of «Wisdom in Wood»? Nah.

I am so glad you went ahead with your post!
I am sure the purists despise me but as you can tell, I don’t like following the rules. With that said, if a challenge has rules, I will abide but otherwise all is fair game.

Might I suggest that the wisdom is carried in the seed…
