Glass

This year I resolve to shatter
That glass ceiling that is my mind
For beautiful as the glass is
The atmosphere weighs heavily
And is but a sparkly, fragile illusion
Better to let the sharp fragments
Rain their color down upon me
Than to stay below the surface
Wanting to be flying above

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
