The briefest of peaks
From behind the parting clouds
Mt Rainier rises

The winding road a witness
To nature’s grand majesty

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. 6. I had a fun experience taking that photo. A gal on her first visit from Atlanta stopped to take a photo. She thought the first crest was Rainier. I said, “No honey, that’s not it. Wait for just a minute.” When the clouds parted I said, “There, that’s it.” Her reaction was priceless. She positivity squealed when she finally saw it. She had no idea that high cloud bank was covering the mountain.
