I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. 3. Mmmmm… there is a quality to each which separates them. Atmospheric? Or is that just the way I see it?

    Lovely, in image and word.

  4. Such a dramatic and beautiful photo of the sunset or sunrise. I think it’s a sunset…but maybe not. Ha ha! Wonderful poetic words to match the fact that “reality” is a matter of perception. ❤

  5. Thank you. In many cases I would agree there is an atmospheric difference. The morning air is usually cooler. Here on the Gulf I am lucky in that from certain locations I can see both. Right now though, the air is so steamy it is hard to tell them apart. Mellow nailed it from the point of view of one persons sunset is another’s sunrise. I was also thinking about Jane Reichhold’s recent passing and that while the perception of her death is like a sunset, in fact it could be a sunrise in another phase.

  6. Thank you Olga! I won’t tell which it was. That would spoil the perception!

  9. To clarify I get a sunrise and sunset over water. Folks that live on an east or west coast have one or the other so it is easy to discern which it is if you know the location. Here it is not as easy. I do love the atmospheric quality in light that different locations have. I can often tell where a photo was taken by the quality of the light. And they are all beautiful.
