In response to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Look Up

Author: Dancing Echoes

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. 2. W/o the child and the haiku, the photo would still be striking. (Glad to see both some color in the brightest area and some detail in the darkest.) With the child and the haiku, it is awesome.

  3. Thank you so much Mellow. Now is where I confess that I do have shots without the little girl in them and they may surface in the future but this was by far my favorite. When she wandered into my shot I was initially impatient to have her move along. Then I thought, “Wow, what a jerk I am being.” Geez, my shot, like it is my beach and my sunrise. I decided to take advantage of a precious moment in a child’s life and roll with it. My sati tide adjustment was rewarded.

  8. So true. We hear our whole lives “You need to grow up” and I think instead we should be hearing “Please don’t ever grow up”.
