I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Some people like to stare into fires, but water does it for me – even a photograph like that one had me practically hypnotised – then I went on to read the verse and it had a similar effect. Beautiful 🙂

Thank you Jane! You have a great point. I can stare at fires or water.

I don’t have time to stare at fires – I’m too busy dragging dead branches along the ground to make the fire bigger 🙂
Always fancied myself as a pyromaniac but there’s no money in it and I may hurt someone 🙂

The striking photo and haiku are especially good for 2016, as Einstein’s century-old prediction about gravity waves was confirmed this yr.

Why thank you Mellow. Great point and connection! I was just telling Patrick Jennings how much I love when folks do this. You always have a fantastic unique perspective I have not thought of before.
