Winter lullaby
Migrating loons have returned
Cold frost at their wing
This was my submission to CARPE DIEM HAILU KAI: Fifth Kukai “winter”

The winner of the Fifth Kukai was the talented Hamish Managua Gunn with his amazing submission:
midwinternight
a dark sky’s lights dance

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog.

Love the deep pinks and undulations. Your landscape and horizon shots are amazing. Subtle, deep, sublime. Nice haiku too!

The pastel waves look so calming and beautiful. Your haiku submission was interesting and very pretty with loons returning as a signal of Winter’s lullabye.
So lovely how you mentioned someone else who won. Such kindness is appreciated. 🙂

This post was all about amazing LINEs to me! The lines of your poem – how it aligned with the picture – and then the multiple levels of lines in this sweet photo – really enjoyed your art here (and I will tone down the praise next time! Ha!)
