I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog.

Eastern mystics often use the metaphor of rivers flowing into the sea, many poetically. None of them, though, for the effects of pollution.
Tao te Ching
Chapter 31
The Tao can’t be perceived.
Smaller than an electron,
it contains uncountable galaxies.
If powerful men and women
could remain centered in the Tao,
all things would be in harmony.
The world would become a paradise.
All people would be at peace,
and the law would be written in their hearts.
When you have names and forms,
know that they are provisional.
When you have institutions,
know where their functions should end.
Knowing when to stop,
you can avoid any danger.
All things end in the Tao
as rivers flow into the sea.

Stephen Mitchell’s interpretation of the Tao te Ching (Dao de Jing) is a personal favourite, though you might look to Ursula K. LeGuin for a more faithful rendering of this most excellent guide on the art of living.
