Enough fishing line
To snare, snag, entwine
Mountains of rope
To tie, knot and choke
Loose netting so unkind
Cause a ghost fishing bind
Plastic, metal, glass
Containers that will gash
Hooks, rods and reels
Sometimes random wheels
Tons of random trash
Thrown out with a splash
Enough marine debris
To make an artificial tree
Save a creature in the sea
Please dispose properly

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.

Thanks. Yes, we have this in our lobby and it has gotten a lot of positive feedback. We have flyers on local trash clean ups too.

Love your message! The most polluted beach I’ve ever seen was near the airport in Incheon, South Korea. You couldn’t walk two steps without tripping over things that don’t belong in the oceans and rivers or on beaches. I don’t like fishing for a number of reasons, this one included! Thanks for reminding people.

Yes they are. Some states like Maine are very good about it too but for the most part the US is pretty bad.

Amazing. Very cool that your work is doing this to highlight the subject. Also incredible the things people toss. I think I can see a nice fishing lure and a GI Joe doll in there!
