It was clear there would be no café
The pot, it was sick
Not even a click
Or a light on the menu display

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.
Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog.

This is a great picture. I like the accompanying poem–without it, I wouldn’t have known I wasn’t looking at the side of a piece of alien technology! It’s a clever poem you got there too.

Thank you! How prophetic my coffee pot should die the week Jennifer has the prompt “Appliance”. I’m just glad it wasn’t the refrigerator or washing machine.

Yeah. I had a beloved old coffee maker that finally bit the dust. Of course that was a morning I needed coffee the most : (
