Looking up towards the darkening sky
That sense of wonderment
Asking that age old question
“The” question
Who are we?
How did we come to be?
What is our place in the universe?
-Are we alone?

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Thank you! You are always so kind to me. I promise to catch up on your pieces this week. I finalized 4 years of hard work on a project yesterday so now I should have more time for reading and writing!

Congratulations on the completion of your big project, Christy! I’ve been dodgy in my reading of your posts as well. I had to catch up a whole month here, I see. Yikes! I’ll be back more often.

Beautiful shot! I often wonder… but I think the others might feel as alone as we are – the universe is so immense we’ll never ever get to see each other 😀

I agree. I have to believe statistically that we are not alone – but will probably never know for sure.

Something to think about…and you said it in a few words. I’ve often pondered on this when looking up in the sky. 🙂

Arthur C Clarke said “There are two possibilities, we are are either alone in the universe or we are not. Both possibilities are equally terrifying”
