I’m drawn to explore
The mysterious keyhole
Made of tumbled rock

Delicate succulents drape
The stone walls like paint spatter

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. 7. I admire the composition and depth of field in the photo. The last 2 lines of the poem are an eloquent way to call attention to the plants’ major contribution to the scene.

  8. Thank you! I find the ice plants intriguing. Such a delicate pastel color. They didn’t grow in the NE so they were new to me when I moved to CA.
