Brief life is fleeting
Waves of brilliant leaves
Falling in the chilly air
Thick sap retreating
Waves of golden light
Sparkle on the drying pond
Bright light receding

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path.

Thank you. A few weeks ago the garage was full of dead dragonflies just like this one. I pick the one with the least decay as my subject. I wasn’t sure what I would do with it but it was too cool not to photograph.
