Dancing Echoes

Beats Stumbling Around in Silence

From Every Angle

Grand house curtain flies
Practiced muscle memory
All pain vanishes
With that first staccato note
And returns with deft applause

In response to the Weekly Photo Challenge: From Every Angle

Author: Dancing Echoes

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. 1. I like the dancers in photo, applause and staccato musical notes. Theater can take you away, as you mentioned, from pain or situations. Lovely!

  2. I nominated you for the “Beautiful Blogger Award” and just wished to notify you. I chose people I have recently added to my Reader and I have found several of your posts to be “beautiful.”
    Congratulations! 🙂

  4. I love this. I’m a huge So You Think You Can Dance fan (though I hate what they did to it this year). Those dancers are just amazing.

  6. Clever take and departure of and from this challenge. Like one of my own offerings on this, I enjoy submissions which adhere to the spirit of the guidelines while mucking about some with their details.

I love that you have chosen the same moment in the dance as your ‘stationary’ object, but displaced that moment not just with a new camera angle, but also angles of time and development.

    Lovely.

  7. Grace! That’s you, far right, in green … my imagination?

  8. Yes, your imagination. I took the picture therefore I was not dancing this time. I have performed his piece before though, before I blew my Achilles. It is a butt kicker.
