I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Thank you. It is a mosquito larva I pulled out of a pond in my yard. I used a microscope set at 60x magnification. I had to ply the unwilling model with alcohol -the isopropyl kind to keep it from wiggling. I then put it through an app that did a reverse negative to bring out the detail. I love macro and microscopic work so when I saw your challenge I knew immediately what I wanted to do. Thanks for the great prompts!

No, not a genius, a scientist, so it’s kind of like cheating a little. But thank you for your kind words and for giving me a great platform to express myself.
