I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. Your hand or right side maybe; did you touch the seat belt buckle? Here in Aus, getting burnt in cars is part of Summer. Window and steering wheel covers are a must. Our main issue is skin cancers on our right arm; in your case your left. Keep cool.

Thanks! Yes, I was referring to my hands smoking on the steering wheel. A bit like bacon? I do use a windshield cover but everything still gets too hot to touch.

Come to think of it, that would have been a better line: Do I smell bacon? It’s not often I have poets’ regret. Oh, well.

Nice! I like a haiku that puts a wry spin on an unusual topic.
