If only my mind
Free from preconceived notions
Could shed its shell

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. I find myself revisiting this post often. Perfection of words and photo. Did you take the pic?

Thank you for your kind words. Yes. I try to take my own when I can. I put the small CJD mark on my photos and will give credit to the photographer if it is not mine. My own internal challenge is a photo and poem. I try to use my iPhone for the photos as another internal challenge.

Ah, but you must be kind to yourself at this point, my friend. I know what you mean, being of similar vintage. Remember, we’ve earned it.
