First you flash my skin
Burning, sweaty, puddle of tears
Then you leave me cold
Estrogen, you fickle whore
You are not to be trusted

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. I just invented a new name for this genre of poetry. I am calling it a Menru. Expect more. This isn’t quite over yet.

I came across your poem on the Tanka Reader and I find it hilarious and familiar. Hehe.
