There once was a a dove named “Robirda”,
Who was known as a bit of a flirta.
Then to her dismay,
An egg she did lay,
Now she wears a red A on her shirta.

  2. Thanks! It was quite the surprise in her cage this morning. She must have been cavorting with the Easter Bunny.

  7. Oh, that’s GOOD!! And so funny! How glad I am to find out that I’m not the only one who’s infected with the Limerick Bug! (But most of mine are a tad on the bawdy side.) *wink*

  10. “Robirda” just gave me a good laugh! I haven’t written a limerick since collage, now I’m thinking I should give them a try–so much fun!

  11. Thanks! I did the Poetry 101 class in February and a Limerick was one of the assignments. It was fun and got me into doing them again, especially when the subject is a bit cheeky.
