Beats Stumbling Around in Silence

3LineThursday Week Twenty-One submission:

The warm liquid slides
Down the back of my parched throat.
Yes, I will swallow.
#Katauta

This submission was not for the contest. This was  actually my first thought when I saw the photo and I could not get it out of my head – and yes, there is a common theme………

After sending out a firestorm of applications,
After burning up the pavement in search of work,
She hopes she doesn’t blow this job.

I am a scientist by trade and artist by soul. My creative outlet used to be dancing but due to injuries and age, I must now find another path. I am hoping my writing, poetry and photography can be this new path. Awards: While I am grateful and honored for the numerous nominations, I don’t have time to respond to them with the attention they deserve, so for the most part, I am an award free blog. 5. I did the 2 week poetry 201. I still have 5 more poems to complete. Oh well, I can’t always pull this out of my arse in 1 day and work full time too.

  10. Very very clever, Dancing Echoes! I did it “backwards”; read the 2 verses first, THEN saw the photo.
